A builder-grade Frisco bathroom becomes a private spa

The master bath was original to a 2004 build: a fiberglass tub-shower, a single vanity and one small window. The homeowners wanted a place to decompress, not just a place to get ready.

We relocated the plumbing to fit a freestanding tub under the window and built a 5-foot curbless walk-in shower with a linear drain. Electric radiant heat went under large-format porcelain tile.

A 72-inch floating double vanity with undermount sinks and backlit mirrors replaced the original cabinet.

24x48 porcelain tile in a soft limestone look, matte black plumbing fixtures, quartz vanity top and a frameless 3/8-inch glass enclosure.

Three weeks including tile cure time. The quote included a plumbing allowance that covered the tub relocation with no surprises at the end.

A bathroom the homeowners describe as the best room in the house, and a project that has already brought us two referrals from the same street.
